What will I learn?

Get a grip on the digital marketplace with our Digital Marketing Management MSc. This course will enable you to deal with digital marketing strategies and stay one step ahead in a fast-growing industry.

Climb the career ladder in the field of digital marketing, one of the fastest growing industries of the 21st century. With Staffordshire University, you will deal with modern world issues and the solutions offered up by contemporary digital marketing strategies. Through expert guidance, you will gain both technical and critical evaluation skills, and the ability to apply the most up-to-date digital techniques using new and emerging software.

This postgraduate course will offer you the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the capabilities of modern internet banners, paid ads, SEO techniques and digital analytics, also, you’ll cover the rising importance of social media campaigning within organisations.

Inspired by the thinking of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) and Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM) we’ve designed a curriculum with a strong professional and practical ethos. Meaning we can focus on your employability and continued professional development.

On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: MSc Digital Marketing Management.

Teaching

We know that everyone learns differently. So not only do we use traditional ways of teaching like lectures, we also use problem-based learning to help you apply your skills.

For this course, you'll:

  • Work with others on group work
  • Delve deeper into subject areas in workshops
  • Be expected to study independently
  • Participate in industry and trade visits

Our teaching is supported through our Virtual Learning Environment called Blackboard. This means you can access a range of materials to support your lectures wherever you are.

We’ll also assign you a supervisor to support you throughout your research project.

Assessment

There are two types of assessments: practice (also called formative) or formal (also called summative).

Practice assessments do not count towards your final mark. These are your chance to test your understanding and learn how to improve for the real thing.

You’ll have formal assessments at the end of each module. These could include essays, exams, or portfolios.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Courses requiring a 2:1 degree: A Bachelor degree from a recognised institution with GPA 3.3 out of 4.0, Courses requiring a 2:2 degree: A Bachelor degree from a recognised institution with GPA 2.7 out of 4.0. IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each component or an equivalent approved qualification.

For international students

Students will usually have achieved a 2:2 in a marketing, digital or business related subject with evidence of successful attainment of marketing modules. Alternatively, you may have professional qualifications and/or experience, please enquire. The University asks for a minimum of IELTS 6.0. with 5.5 in all bands or an alternative recognised by UKVI.
