Overview

The University of Worcester, a public university, was established in 1946 but attained university status only in 2005. It is located at Henwick Grove, Worcester, and has a current student population of around 10,000 students. The university’s academic structure comprises 10 schools, namely: Allied Health; Arts; Education; Humanities; Nursing and Midwifery; Psychology; Science and the Environment; Sport and Exercise Science; Three Counties Medical School; Worcester Business School. Research work at Worcester has been of significant beneficial impact for individuals and for society, such as in the case of the sterling work done by the National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit and the training and research undertaken by the Association for Dementia Studies. Worcester’s graduates go on to rewarding careers across employment sectors and countries.
