Course description

Biodiversity is threatened by climate change and other consequences of the growing human population. To solve this and other global challenges we need researchers with an in-depth understanding of how we maintain ecosystems in the face of environmental change.

Our world-class research in this area spans topics including global change ecology, biodiversity science, tropical forest conservation, palaeoecology and palynology, urban ecology, environmental pollution, and agricultural ecology, giving you the opportunity to contribute new knowledge in an area of ecology and environment that interests you most.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students who hold a good undergraduate four year bachelor degree and high grades in relevant individual subjects from an accredited university or college in the USA will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or masters programmes. For entry to MBA students need a good four year bachelor degree from an accredited university or college in the USA and at least 3 years´ post-graduation work experience. They must be at least 25 years old by the time the programme starts. Students with a lower GPA and considerable work experience may be considered. Postgraduate applicants are required to achieve a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
