BSc (Hons) Event Operations & Production Management with Integrated Foundation Year (BEOPF)A foundation year at Leeds Beckett is an ideal transitional step into higher education and will fully prepare you for undergraduate study. We are offering our BSc (Hons) Event Operations & Production Management degree with an integrated foundation year. If you don't have the required UCAS points to be able to secure a place on the full degree programme, this foundation year will prepare you for academic life at our university.During the foundation year, you will study six events, tourism and hospitality management related modules. These will introduce you to the subjects included on each of our 10 routes, from tourism principles and practice to customer service experiences.Two additional modules will develop the academic and study skills needed to successfully transition from school or the workplace to higher education and on to your full degree programme. You will also learn how to access the extensive resources and support services available here at Leeds Beckett, whether you need a hand locating specialist materials in the Library, or you need advice about personal issues.During your second, third and fourth years you will study an average of six modules each year. Get to grips with the technical and logistical side of events management and learn everything you need to stand out in the field of event operations and production management.From the production and staging of live events in purpose-built venues and temporary locations, to planning the logistics of support services and managing security, this course will combine knowledge of functional and strategic areas of event management to prepare you for a successful career in the industry.You will gain an understanding of health, safety and risk, crowd behaviour and control, event security and protocols, stakeholder and relations management, and project and stage management, as well as developing skills in computer aided design (CAD) for site planning. You will also have the opportunity to study aspects of the course in expert detail through the research methods module, before putting your theoretical knowledge into practice during your final year technical major project.

Students with a High School Grade 12 Diploma need to have GPA of 3 or above PLUS one or more of the following qualifications: SAT Reasoning Test Grade: Score of 1270 (including a minimum of 650 in Reading and Writing, and 610 in Math) or American College Testing (ACT) with overall score of 26 or above or 2 Advanced Placement (AP) exam results with 3 or above. English language requirements: High School Diploma Grade 12 English Grade C and a GPA of 3 overall OR AP English Grade 3.
