COURSE INFORMATION

This course offers you the opportunity to develop skills in network technologies. There is an emphasis on the development of networking and technical skills, as well as developing team working, problem solving and communication skills. In addition to SQA certification, there are opportunities to gain industry-recognised vendor certifications through Microsoft, CISCO, and VMWARE.

In our labs, you will have the opportunity to build and configure local area networks and learn how to implement secure servers. You will learn to install and configure network operating systems and how to configure Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. You will also install and configure virtual environments using VMWARE. In year 2, there is a strong emphasis on network security. On successful completion of year 1, you will achieve an HNC in Computing.

Tuition fees
Full-time fee: £6,000 per 15 credits (generally the equivalent of 1 year of study) for 2020/2021 entry. There may be a slight increase in 2021/2022 entry.
