Tools to optimise pig in vitro production: improving sperm morphometrics, oocyte vitrification and embryo culture; Genetic analysis in diverse ecotypes of Arabidopsis thaliana; Understanding the epigenetics of alternative splicing in Arabidopsis thaliana; Natural genetic factors associated with alpha-synuclein pathology in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans; Understanding the shining ramshorn snail, Segmentina nitida: morphology, genetics; Investigating pheromone monitoring for UK moths of conservation interest; Natural variation in lifespan and stress responses in Caenorhabditis elegans; A study of the structure and biological activity of the Eranthis hyemalis type II ribosome inactivating protein; Maternal effects in parasitic nematodes: evidence, relevance and importance.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students should have Bachelors Degree. IELTS : 6 no less than 5.5 in each section.

For international students

The standard of academic attainment normally expected of an applicant for registration as a student on a taught postgraduate programme is that of a good honours degree, which is defined as a first class or second class honours degree, in a relevant subject discipline. Holders of other qualifications will be considered individually. Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of their proficiency in English. Usually, this is through a IELTs score of at least 6.5.
