This course aims to nurture your talents and give you an understanding of contemporary issues in sport from a global perspective. You'll explore a range of key skills to enable you to work for the development of international sport and sports initiatives in international development for both public and commercial sectors.As a graduate, you will have promising career and employment prospects in the global job market. The number of international sports events has kept on increasing in recent years and so has the sheer scale of these events. The international sports industry keeps exploring new markets in the developing countries, e.g. China and India, after their old markets in the advanced regions have become saturated.More and more governments, both international and national, and NGOs including the international governing bodies of sport become actively engaged in providing and delivering sports programmes to support social development. The globalisation of sport, both through the traditional format and more recently with the trend in eSports, has become an accelerated and irreversible process.This course reflects key issues and rapid changes in this ongoing process and prepares students with good and up-to-date knowledge of the ever-changing world of global sport.
