What will I learn?

Prepare for entry into the second year of a professionally accredited undergraduate Architecture degree at Newcastle University. Develop your understanding of the functional, aesthetic and technical aspects of architecture and how to apply them to your own architectural designs and concepts. Learn computer-aided and manual drawing and design techniques. Improve your English language study skills within the context of Architecture. Expand your skills and knowledge in various areas through sketching, drawing and model making, alongside learning the history of architecture. Build a comprehensive design project and the development of an architectural portfolio. Learn how to research, analyse and present your work effectively. Upon successful completion of this programme, you will be awarded our Certificate of Higher Education (FHEQ Level 4).

Entry requirements

For international students

Academic Requirements: Satisfactory completion of A-levels, a recognised Foundation programme, first year of an overseas university degree programme with good grades, or equivalent. You will be required to provide a portfolio as part of the application. This should document your experiences and the expertise you have gained in previous studies. It should demonstrate a range of core skills and a basic understanding of architecture.
