Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students need to hold a relevant Bachelors degree with a grade equivalent to a UK Upper Second-class honours (2:1). We consider applications on a case-by-case basis, but typically we equate a GPA of 3.2 or above in a US first degree as comparable to a UK Upper Second-class.

For international students

For entry onto this programme we would normally require a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) that includes Arabic or evidence of degree level proficiency. While we normally only accept applicants who meet this criteria, if you have a high 2:2 or equivalent, are coming from a different academic background which is equivalent to degree level, or have relevant work experience, we would welcome your application. IELTS: Overall score 6.5. No less than 6.0 in any section. TOEFL: Overall score 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
