Entry requirements

For students from United States

Generally, the minimum entry requirement for most taught Masters courses is a lower second class honours degree (2.2). However, some departments may require upper second class honours degrees (2.1) (e.g. School of Art) or relevant work experience. UK 2ii Honours standard: Bachelor's GPA 2.6. UK 2i Honours standard: Bachelor's GPA 3.10. UK 1st Class Honours standard: Bachelor's GPA 3.60.

For international students

Good Undergraduate degree 2.1 (UK) (or above). European and International applicants can find their grade equivalence on our comparability page. Those who are not graduates must satisfy the University that they are of the required academic standard to pursue postgraduate study. IELTS 6.5 with minimum 5.5 in each component. TOEFL 93 with minimum component scores: Reading 18, Listening 17, Speaking 20, Writing 17.
