MA Enterprise offers a participant experience that bridges the gap between academia and industry experience. Specialising in one core pathway enables you to develop the specific skills you need to move into your chosen field.

Family enterprises play an integral role in building our nations. However, they face unique challenges that require specialist skills and knowledge.

The Family Enterprises Pathway

The Family Enterprises pathway explores the nature and dynamics of entrepreneurial families. It will address the universal issues of such enterprises as you apply them to your own family business.

You will have the platform to test out your ideas, collaborate with peers and mentors, and learn how to solve complex enterprise-related problems.

Using a range of case studies, you will examine different business models – from start-ups to high growth organisations. This knowledge will help you to recognise the practical and ethical dimensions of enterprise, giving you the skills to develop effective solutions.

You will also learn how to determine the managerial and resource priorities that are required to operate efficiently, sustainable and successfully.

This degree will develop you into a creative entrepreneur, who is ready to successfully launch or enhance your family business.

Teaching and assessment

You will be introduced to different perspectives, and encouraged to analyse and interpret information independently. You will also work with diverse and multicultural teams, learning from different perspectives and honing your collaborative skills.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students need to have Bachelors Degree. IELTS 6.5 score.

For international students

Students need to have one of the following qualifications: minimum second class UK undergraduate degree; equivalent international qualifications as deemed acceptable by the University; exceptional entry will be assessed on case by case basis by academic referral only based on: an undergraduate degree lower than 2:2 plus one year of relevant work experience; no undergraduate degree but three years of relevant work experience. IELTS: Overall score of 6.5, with 5.5 or above in all 4 component parts.
