Our stimulating Mechanical and Materials Engineering BEng degree meets the growing need for engineers who can design products making the best use of advanced materials.The design of any machine – from a skateboard to a jet engine – for optimal performance cannot be separated from the materials used to make it. This challenging Mechanical and Materials Engineering BEng programme combines the design skills of mechanical engineering with the in-depth knowledge of materials engineering, so that, on graduation, you are able to create innovative and cutting-edge designs, which make the best use of materialsYou will be taught by lecturers who are global experts in their field. enabling you to gain strong theoretical and practical skills in Mechanical and Materials Engineering. Required subjects and grades: A level in chosen language for Higher routes, grade B in GCSE foreign language for Beginners route. GCSE Mathematics and English at grade 6/B.General Studies not accepted as one of three A2s, but a good performance may be taken into account if you fail to meet the conditions of the offer and have General Studies as a fourth A2.
