For instance, year 1 will see you take part in three projects using your skills to design, build and test real mechanical devices.A 'sandwich' placement year in industry enables you to build industry contacts while developing your skills and professional confidence.On graduation you will be industry ready, with a grounding in engineering science and hands-on working knowledge of:- the core analytical and advanced scientific principles and methods underpinning mechanical engineering- applied prototyping and analysis for efficient computer-aided design and manufacturing;- integrated skills for complex engineered systems, including communication and project management skills, as well as advanced model based systems analysis tools and techniques.**Professional accreditation**These courses are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), and can lead to Chartered Engineer (CEng) accreditation.This course is recognised by ENAEE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education).

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students need to have High School Graduation Diploma with Foundation Programme for enter into undergraduate degree. You will need to achieve an Overall Band score of at least 6.0, with at least 5.0 in each of the four sub-tests (speaking, listening, reading, writing) or 5.5 in each of the sub-tests if you require a Tier 4 visa.
