What will I learn?

This MRes is for you if you’re interested in understanding the impact of socio-cultural factors on mental health and mental health care. It is designed for students who are accepted for doctoral research training through the LISS DTP Programme. This MRes is also an excellent preparation for a career in research and clinical practice.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students should have a Bachelors Degree. IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall including 6.0 in Writing, and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking. 

For international students

Students need to have a degree at undergraduate level in a relevant subject. A professional qualification and at least one year experience working in a related area will also be considered. Applicants must be accepted onto the ESRC Doctoral Training Programme based at Queen Mary. IELTS Academic: 7.0 overall including 6.5 in Writing, and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking. TOEFL: 100 overall including 24 in Writing, 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening and 20 in Speaking.
