What will I learn?
Our Midwifery course is studied over three years full-time. On completion of the course you will be awarded with a **BSc (Hons) Midwifery** degree and registration with the **Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)**. Our course is also **UNICEF Baby Friendly Gold accredited** meaning that our Midwifery students will be equipped with knowledge and understanding of infant feeding to **UNICEF UK** standards. This standard is internationally recognised as a mark of excellence.Ranked **Top 10 For Midwifery & Nursing** - our Nursing and Midwifery courses are joined top 10 in the Daily Mail University League table for 2025.You will have the opportunity to practice your midwifery skills in a simulated environment in our purpose built midwifery clinical skills laboratory. Each of the three years of the course comprise periods of theory and applied practice and you will be placed at the NHS Trust sites to gain practical experience: Kettering, Northampton and Milton Keynes. **The NHS Learning Support Fund** - students, studying nursing, midwifery and many of the allied health professions courses from September 2020, may be eligible for a payment of at least £5,000 a year which they will not need to pay back. They may be able to apply for Financial support at the university through the NHS Learning Support Fund (NHS LSF) which offers eligible students additional support while studying for their degree.
