Entry requirements

For students from United States

The following qualifications will be considered for entry on to postgraduate taught programmes: a first degree or professional qualification recognised as being equivalent to degree standard; an HND or higher education diploma with substantial work experience in an appropriate field; successful completion of a recognised pre-Masters course. The following qualifications will be considered for entry on to postgraduate research programmes (MPhil/PhD): Masters Degree from a recognised university. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.

For international students

Students need to have one from: an honours degree (2.2 or above) in a science or engineering subject; suitable professional qualifications in an engineering field; a degree in any discipline plus at least one year of relevant experience; a diploma in a technological area plus at least three years of relevant experience. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent).
