Overview

This course is a relevant postgraduate degree for those who wish to gain a more advanced understanding of economics and its strategic application to different scenarios.

The course links theory and practice in international economics with the field of strategy through intensive, selective and expert-orientated modules with a clearly defined business outlook. You'll receive training in the use of Stata and Bloomberg during seminar sessions and in the development of assignments.

The delivery modes and class types are comprised of a variety of online and face-to-face tutorials, seminars based on discussions of current economic developments and lab exercises using relevant statistical software.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

To apply for a postgraduate course at LSBU you need to have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University with a GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). IELTS: 6.5 (with no component below 5.5).

For international students

A bachelor degree in economics (2.2) or a related discipline such as finance or business (2.1). Students with a bachelor degree (2.1) in a less related discipline, such as for instance Engineering or Mathematics or other disciplines, can be considered by the course management team on a case-by-case basis. English language requirements – IELTS 6.5 or above.
