What will I learn?

The course is perfect for those who want to gain an internationally recognised nursing qualification, to care for those over the age of 18 abroad and in the UK. We have excellent partnerships with University Hospitals of North Midlands, Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Hospital Trust and Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to name a few. From day one, you’ll start to develop the essential care skills and will integrate theory with practice by completing a variety of clinical placements. Throughout the course, you will gain a plethora of skills and knowledge that you will be able to apply to future roles after graduation when you register as a fully qualified adult nurse. You will spend 50% of your time in clinical practices across a variety of hospital and community settings. You will be required to travel to placements in various locations and work shifts across the 24-hour period to gain the full range of learning experiences. Your work could range from providing care during a time of sudden or severe illness, to helping someone manage a life-long illness. Graduates from our Nursing Practice (Adult) degree have followed a diverse range of career pathways in a wide variety of clinical specialisms and roles. Roles range from staff nurse in an acute hospital or community-based setting, to specialist practitioner in areas such as cancer care, sexual health, long-term condition management or older adult care.
