What will I learn?

In this course we offer a high quality teaching and learning experience.  In the Guardian Newspaper 2018 League Table for Religious Studies and Theology we were ranked 14th in the country. These exceptional results were achieved because we put our students first.  We ensure our teaching is of outstanding quality, based on excellent research, so that you will succeed.  Find out how you can succeed by exploring our unique Tutorial Group system and our progressive assessment approach at the department’s web site.

Our students go on to a wide range of fascinating jobs and careers after university, including: Media, Police Service, Caring professions, Civil Service and Local Government, Social Services, Law, Personnel Management and Human Resources, Health Care work, Community work and Marketing. In addition to teaching, our recent graduates have pursued careers in publishing, HR, youth work, counselling, communications, fundraising, the police service, community work, nursing, and church work. Finally a number of students undertake further university study at postgraduate level and some go traveling around the world.
