What will I learn?

Human societies are experiencing untold change and uncertainty. And now more than ever, our world needs people with the skills, knowledge and determination to understand new challenges - like:- how does childcare affect women?- does tech like TikTok change our behaviour?- has social distancing impacted our relationships?When you study Sociology, you’ll explore the impact of human behaviour and human values on society. You’ll explore pressing social issues, like gender, ethnicity and race, social class and inequality.You might explore health inequalities, looking at factors like race or social class. You might examine how economic insecurity affects young people today. Or you could analyse how factors like climate change or political oppression drive migration.You’ll be joining a close-knit department where you’ll get to know your course mates and tutors well. And you’ll gain sought-after career skills, to prepare you for employment.
