What will I learn?

Gain two years' experience in the UK and the opportunity to work in collaboration with industry on a real-life challenge.

This flexible MSc degree is an extension of our MSc Structural Engineering and includes a second year allowing you to undertake either an industry placement or an industry-focused project with an industrial partner.

WHY STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING WITH INDUSTRY AT SWANSEA?

The faculty of Civil Engineering at Swansea has an established international reputation in computational engineering and its integration with civil engineering. This is largely due to pioneering the finite element methods.

We’re also a key centre for research and training in computational mechanics and engineering, having pioneered many techniques used in commercial simulation software today.

Entry requirements

For international students

Usually the entry requirements for the MSc Structural Engineering with Industry course is a 2:2 honours degree (or above) in Civil Engineering or a similar relevant engineering or science discipline. We consider a wide range of qualifications, including the Swansea University English Test, the British Council IELTS test (with a score of at least 6.5 and 5.5 in each component).
