What will I learn?

Program Description:

The Master of Accountancy program is fully accredited by AACSB, the international accrediting body for business and accounting programs, and satisfies the education requirement for taking the Uniform CPA Examination. Required classes are offered primarily in the evening to accommodate both full and part-time students. Graduate assistantships and graduate tuition scholarships are available to full-time students on a competitive basis. Departmental scholarships are available to both full and part-time students based on academic record and financial need.

The M.Acc. Degree satisfies not only the Ohio law, but also the requirements of membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The M.Acc. Curriculum includes 18 required semester credit hours in advanced accounting topics and 12 semester credit hours in electives. Students can tailor the electives to suit their needs, interests, and career goals.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have earned a 4-year baccalaureate degree/3-year baccalaureate degree from select international institutions or its equivalent from an accredited college, university, or other institution of higher learning.

The M.Acc. Program is primarily designed for students who possess an undergraduate degree in accounting or its equivalent.

If your native language is not English and you do not have a degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, you must have a minimum score on one of the following exams:

A score of 79/120 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

A band 6 or higher through the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

A score of 57 or higher on the Pearson PTE

To be considered, such applications must be received by March 1 for admission the following Fall Semester.
