What will I learn?

Fill the growing need for bilingual teachers across the U.S. with this advanced certificate, offered in multiple formats, including online, to fit your busy professional schedule.

What You’ll Learn

Designed for teachers who already hold initial teaching certification, the Bilingual Extension, Advanced Certificate will help you learn to work with diverse student populations (pre-K–12)—a skill that’s in huge demand in schools around the country.

You’ll become a culturally responsive teacher who can build strong, productive relationships with students, families, and communities. You’ll also learn to integrate the innovative use of technology to promote student interaction.

This advanced certificate program is offered in multiple formats, including online, so that wherever you are in the U.S., you can complete this program and receive certification in your state through reciprocity agreements with New York State. Candidates who have completed a graduate education degree program at New York Tech need only three courses to qualify for the Bilingual Extension, Advanced Certificate.
