What will I learn?

The medical sciences transfer track AA degree is ideal for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees and/or professional programs in the dental, medical or veterinary fields. Depending upon your chosen degree, careers include dentist, physician, chiropractor, pharmacist, veterinarian and teacher, plus a variety of other jobs in related fields such as physical or occupational therapist, researcher and salesperson.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission to an associate degree program at HCC, applicants must have the equivalent of one of the following: high school equivalency certificate (GED), Associate or higher degree, standard high school diploma.

English Proficiency

  • TOEFL score of 61 (iBT) or higher
  • IELTS academic overall band score of 5.5 or higher
  • iTEP academic score of 4.0 or higher
  • STEP Eiken minimum score of Grade 2A or higher
  • Pearson PTE academic minimum score of 46 or higher
  • Cambridge English: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency, minimum score of 165 or higher
  • GTEC CBT score of 1051 or higher; new GTEC unified score of 1075 or higher
  • Duolingo English Test score of 95 or higher
  • Completion of Kaplan High-Intermediate Level

Application Deadlines: Fall: Jun/01; Spring: Oct/15; Summer: Mar/15
