What will I learn?

This Automotive Technology program, offered at the AutoNation Center for Excellence in Automotive Technology is designed to prepare entry- level automotive technicians and to provide academic background for advancement to management positions in the automotive service industry.

Automotive Technology Programs sponsored by Automobile Manufacturers are limited enrollment programs and require an internship at a dealership.

In order to graduate with the AAS degree students must complete the prescribed coursework, earn a “C” or better in all courses, maintain an overall GPA of 2.5, and earn a passing score on two of the either ASE industry standard certification tests (A1-A8). You will earn Technical Certificates related to your program of study as you earn your AA, AS, AAS or Bachelor's degree.

Related Industry Certifications: Students will be eligible to sit for up to 8 ASE industry standard certifications.

Career Pathway: Industry, Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation (IMCT).

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must have completed high school (secondary education). English language requirements: ?IELTS - 6.5 to 9.0; TOEFL IBT - 79 to 120; Cambridge English Advanced - 176 to 209+.

For international students

Students must have HS Diploma or GED. Students must also possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license in order to participate in Co-op courses.

English Language Requirements: TOEFL - minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, Cambridge English Advanced - minimum score of 176, Successful completion of ENG IV at a U.S .high school or university level English at an accredited U.S. university with a grade of C or better.
