What will I learn?

Accounting is a vital function that all types of organizations depend on. Managers need accounting staff to plan and control operations. Investors and other outside parties use accounting to evaluate organizations. The critical nature of accounting leads to careers in a wide variety of organizations, from government and health care to human resources and marketing. With an A.S. or certificate in Accounting Technology, you'll be prepared for full-charge or support positions related to accounting where you will compile, record, interpret and communicate financial information.

One of the first things you will notice about the Accounting program is its flexibility. Whether you choose to enroll full time or part time, we strive to make our classes accessible for all. That includes offering a fully online option for the Accounting A.S. degree and the Accounting Applications Certificate. Day, evening and weekend classes are available to accommodate your lifestyle and preferences.

The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is designed for the student who plans to transfer to a Florida public university as a junior to complete a Bachelor’s degree. A student who earns an A.A. degree from Broward College meets the lower division general education requirements of a Florida state university, but does not automatically meet the requirements for a particular major.

Students must have completed high school (secondary education). English language requirements: ?IELTS - 6.5 to 9.0; TOEFL IBT - 79 to 120; Cambridge English Advanced - 176 to 209+.

For international students

All applicants must complete HS Diploma or GED
