What will I learn?

Our aquaculture AS degree program provides you with the knowledge and skills for an entry-level job in the aquaculture industry as a field/farm assistant or a laboratory technician. You may also find employment in state agencies such as the Fresh Water Fish and Wildlife Commission that oversee environment and wildlife.

AS.AQUA (60 Credit Hours)

This curriculum is from the current college catalog and is meant to provide prospective students an example of courses taken in this degree/certificate. It is not intended to be used for graduation requirements. Students should consult an advisor for graduation information.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission to an associate degree program at HCC, applicants must have the equivalent of one of the following: high school equivalency certificate (GED), Associate or higher degree, standard high school diploma.

English Proficiency

  • TOEFL score of 61 (iBT) or higher
  • IELTS academic overall band score of 5.5 or higher
  • iTEP academic score of 4.0 or higher
  • STEP Eiken minimum score of Grade 2A or higher
  • Pearson PTE academic minimum score of 46 or higher
  • Cambridge English: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency, minimum score of 165 or higher
  • GTEC CBT score of 1051 or higher; new GTEC unified score of 1075 or higher
  • Duolingo English Test score of 95 or higher
  • Completion of Kaplan High-Intermediate Level
