Whether you aspire for a career on the stage or behind the curtain, this program will help you develop the creative talent, technical skills and performance experiences for a future in professional theater.

As a theater arts major, you will learn to create and produce living theater, both as an individual artist and as a member of a production team. Components of this degree include BFA acting studio; directing; animals; voice and movement. Students are involved in all aspects of theatrical works, including performance, design, management and production.

Students in this program gain valuable on-stage experience with opportunities to perform and produce in both student and community productions.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

A 2.5 on a 4.0 Grade Point Average scale is required from your secondary school. You must meet criteria for admission to university-level study in your home country.

For international students

Students must have 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale is required from secondary school. They must meet criteria for admission to university level study in home country. They should also satisfy the following English language requirements:

  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) minimum score of 525 on the paper test or 70 on the Internet-based test
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) minimum score of 6.0
  • Pearson (PTE) Academic score of 48
  • ELS Language Centers, pass of Level 112
  • Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English), pass
  • Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English), pass
  • Cambridge International "O" Levels, pass
  • English proficiency demonstration is waived for any applicant who has a previous degree at an accredited U.S. institution
