What will I learn?

Suffolk's Theatre Department is student-centered. We'll help you shine, whether you choose to act write, direct, and design your own original plays master stage or arts management intern with leading theatre companies in Boston and abroad and so much more. Our students work in classic, musical, and experimental genres with a special focus on new work.
Our broad-based liberal arts degree provides a solid foundation in the theatre and an education for life. The personally tailored, flexible theatre curriculum is filled with rich interdisciplinary possibilities that can adapt to who you are and what you want to become. At Suffolk, you can change your mind as you grow. The Theatre Department trains gifted storytellers-successful actors, producers, designers, writers, directors, educators, arts administrators. You will work closely with talented faculty and staff, guest artists, with local professional companies at the Modern and with arts companies outside of the university.
You can pursue a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre focusing on a range of areas: Performance, Musical Theatre, Directing, Playwriting, Technical, Theatre and Design, Stage Management, Arts Administration.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have high school qualification.

English language requirements

TOEFL iBT score (minimum required score is a 79).

IELTS score (minimum required score is a 6.5)

PTE- Academic with a minimum score of 54

Application deadline for fall is February 15 and spring is December 1.
