CCSU's BA in Italian explores the linguistic and the social aspects of Italian culture. Students master intermediate skills in speaking, reading, and writing Italian.
The program prepares students with a background in Italian culture and society including literature, cinema, art, and commerce, as well as the history of the Italian American diaspora. A BS in Education option is available for students who wish to gain certification for secondary teaching.

English language proficiency requirement
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Information on the TOEFL may be obtained from Educational Testing Services. The three versions of the TOEFL that a prospective student may take are listed here with minimum acceptable scores:
The International English Language Testing System Exam (IELTS) is also accepted. A minimum band score of 6.5 is required for admissions consideration.
Duolingo English Test (DET) - minimum score of 95
Application deadline: International students should apply by April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
