What will I learn?

A Bachelor of Arts (BA) in women’s studies from Wichita State will give you an in-depth understanding of women’s lives through internationalism, representation and social issues. The degree is ideal for double majoring with other areas such as social work, education, history, pre-law, psychology, criminal justice and others and is great preparation for graduate school and a wide range of careers.

Curriculum

The major in women’s studies consists of a minimum of 30 credit hours of women’s studies courses. Required core courses include:

  • Diverse Women in Popular Culture
  • Women in Society: Social Issues
  • Women in Society: Cultural Images
  • Nine additional hours based on your interests
