What will I learn?

A student majoring in Marketing graduates with a deep understanding of the customer - the primary revenue stream for companies.

Students seeking the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a Major in Marketing must complete the following curriculum.

12 hours of coursework are required for all business majors prior to completing the Kelce Core. Note that these classes may also satisfy some Pitt State Pathway requirements. The prerequisite courses include: Kelce Core Prerequisites MATH-143 Elementary Statistics (3 hours) CIS-130 Computer Information Systems (3 hours) ECON-200 Principles of Microeconomics (3 hours) ECON-201 Principles of Macroeconomics (3 hours)

Major Requirements See notes *2 IB-330 International Business (3 hours) or IB-340 International Marketing (3 hours) MKTG-510 Consumer Behavior (3 hours) MKTG-520 Marketing Research (3 hours) MKTG-680 Applied Marketing Management (3 hours) Select 9 hours from: *2 Any Marketing (MKTG) course numbered 300 or above not already applied to the degree. Substitutions of electives with courses 300 or above may be approved by the advisor. General Electives Total minimum hours for a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a Major in Marketing, 120 hours.

Entry requirements

For international students

High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma

International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university)

U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work)

English Language Requirement

TOEFL score of at least 68 (iBT) is required. In addition, a minimum score of 15 is required in each section (internet).

IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.0. in each band of the IELTS is required. If a lower score is earned in any of the five band scores, the overall score cannot be accepted.

PTE: Overall score of 47.

Application Deadline: Fall Semester – June 1st, Spring Semester – October 15th.
