What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture is a four-year professional degree program that prepares students to become successful, licensed landscape architects. The robust, studio-based curriculum is taught by award-winning faculty and provides a comprehensive understanding of professional practice, design approaches and creative problem-solving. Students benefit from access to diverse professional, entrepreneurial and technological resources, as well as opportunities to engage with licensed landscape architects and industry leaders to work collaboratively on real-world projects that shape the local built environment. Graduates look forward to careers working with allied professionals including architects, ecologists and biologists, historians and anthropologists, civil and structural engineers, and urban planners.LEARNING OUTCOMESStudents will develop effective written, oral, and graphic communication skills.Students will understand sustainable design strategies.Students will gain knowledge and awareness of professional practices.Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills and an understanding of the theoretical and historical context of the profession of landscape architecture.

Entry requirements

For international students

Unofficial secondary/high school transcripts may be used for the initial admission evaluation. Official transcripts or official exam results are required at the time of enrollment. If a transcript is not in English, a certified English translation must accompany the transcript. Strong applicants will have a minimum recalculated grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 over the course of their last three years of academic coursework. GPA recalculation takes place during admission review. Prior to enrollment, students must obtain a high school diploma, certificate, or GED.
