What will I learn?

Given cybersecurity is both a technical as well as a management issue facing organizations, the program is designed to be multi-disciplinary in its curriculum and espouses to remain nimble given the rapid pace of change in this field.In this challenging and multi-faceted program, students develop both theoretical foundations and applied skills through hands-on labs, workshops, competitions, projects, and internships.This degree is STEM designated, CIP Code 11.1003 (Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance).At the time of application for admission, students choose either a:Computer Science emphasis orInformation Systems and Technology emphasisOnce students pick an emphasis area upon admission, they will complete general education requirements and a set of courses common across both emphasis areas. They will then complete either Computer Science emphasis specific or Information Systems and Technology emphasis specific courses.Both emphasis areas provide a blend of technical- and business-oriented skills designed to prepare students for a variety of cybersecurity and IT related careers. The Computer Science Emphasis provides enhanced technical depth whereas the Information Systems and Technology Emphasis offers stronger preparation for business and management aspects of cybersecurity.

Entry requirements

For international students

Current high school students: Provide transcripts for all years completed so far. High school graduates: Submit your final transcripts along with your degree certificates or exam results. College or university students: Send us your university transcripts to date. If you have completed more than 24 credit hours at a university, you do not need to submit high school transcripts.
