What will I learn?

The BSN Program is designed to:

Expand your skills, knowledge, and scope of nursing practice
Increase your understanding of today’s healthcare environment
Offer study in a selected area of clinical practice in the senior year

This program prepares students to become professional nurses. Two distinct categories of students are eligible for admission: The "basic student" who enters the University without having completed a first level nursing program and the "registered nurse student" who, having completed the first level, desires further study to expand their nursing capabilities to the BSN professional level.

The "basic student" is eligible to take the examination for licensure to practice as a registered nurse upon completion of the program. All graduates are recommended for certification as a public health nurse in the State of California.
