What will I learn?

The Interior Design program prepares students for thriving careers across the varied sectors that define the architecture and design professions. For more than forty years, Baylor's program has developed critical thinkers and problem solvers who apply design solutions to address challenges of individuals and communities. The program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). Students learn to apply the design process and technical skills to creatively solve design problems. The Interior Design program is a studio-based major.Interior Design students must complete an internship with a qualified interior designer or architect for course credit. Our students have interned around the globe in a wide variety of design specialties ranging from Residential to Corporate to Historic Preservation. The Interior Design program also offers an opportunity to study architectural history and the decorative arts in a summer study abroad program.
