What you'll study

You will take courses designed to match industry requirements and expectations. The curriculum challenges you to exercise creative thinking in business operations, merchandising strategies, and consumer issues. Courses are intended to provide the knowledge and experience you will need to understand current trends and applications in the merchandising, apparel, and textiles industries. Upon graduation, MAT students are able to apply their knowledge to business, management, and professional development skills.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Freshman Admission: Applicants who have not attended a college or university upon completion of secondary school AND who have met all requirements. Conditional Admission: Applicants who meet UK’s academic requirements for admission but do not meet the minimum language proficiency requirement can complete the language requirement by enrolling in full-time intensive language courses at UK's Center for English as a Second Language. The duration of these courses will depend on placement test results and individual student progress.

For international students

Freshman Admission: Applicants who have not attended a college or university upon completion of secondary school AND who have met all requirements including English proficiency as noted below.

Conditional Admission: Applicants who meet UK’s academic requirements for admission but do not meet the minimum language proficiency requirement can complete the language requirement by enrolling in full-time intensive language courses at  UK's Center for English as a Second Language. The duration of these courses will depend on placement test results and individual student progress. Upon successful completion of the English language course(s), the student will move seamlessly into a degree program at UK.

English proficiency directly from testing center: TOEFL: 71 iBT; IELTS: 6.0
