What will I learn?

Overview

Neuroscience, the study of the brain and nervous system, is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of science. Exploring knowledge of the brain and behavior offers a window into understanding human nature and our society. It is explicitly interdisciplinary, spanning a wide range of research topics and methods aimed at understanding basic nervous system function and causes of brain and nervous system diseases.

Career

Graduates with a BS in neuroscience from the UC College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) are prepared for a wide range of career options and unlimited opportunities for graduate study. They include:

Entry requirements

For students from United States

To apply for admission to the RN to BSN online program, students must submit: Official transcripts of previous college coursework with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5; Documented completion of an associate degree or diploma in nursing leading to RN licensure; Documentation of an active, unrestricted RN license.

For international students

First-year applicants (sometimes referred to as freshman) are students who have completed high school and have not earned college course credit since graduating.

English test score requirements: ELS - 112 Graduation; IELTS - 6.0 Overall minimum of 5.5 on each section; PTE – 46; TOEFL - 66 iBT minimum of 15 on each section; Duolingo – 95; Cambridge - 169 minimum, Recommended exam: C1 Advanced.
