A Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from University of Houston-Clear Lake prepares students for a multitude of careers in which technology plays a central role, with a focus on more practical applications of technology that support and add value to an organization’s products or services.

Combine Technological Competence with Managerial and Organizational Skills

This plan prepares students for key technical, administration and management positions in the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, operation and management of industrial and commercial computer information systems. Among the coursework’s main objectives is to teach students how to maintain a balance between theory and practice of computer science and computer information systems. Graduates of this program will have mastered the skills needed for tomorrow's complex, technology-induced environments.

You can also choose from two specializations: Data science; Cyber security.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Student must have a undergraduate degree. Proof of English Language Proficiency - Your minimum scores must be: 550 on the paper-based TOEFL exam; 79 on the TOEFL (iBT) exam; 6.0 on the IELTS exam, 53 on the PTE exam; or, You can successfully complete level 112 in the ELS Intensive English Language program.

For international students

Undergraduate degree in a related field with 3.0 GPA.
