And the need for PhD-trained faculty to educate these future professionals is strong. Working toward a PhD in Kinesiology, you’ll gain the training you’ll need to become a successful scholar and be able to conduct independent research in applied and academic settings.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must have a 4-5 year bachelor. International students must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 in paper based exam.

For international students

Possess, or be in the process of completing, a MS degree in Kinesiology or closely related field. In exceptional cases, applicants with a BS degree in Kinesiology or closely related field who demonstrate significant involvement in research and exceptional academic achievement may be considered for admission.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) results with a minimum required score of 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) and a minimum recommended sub-score of 18 in each skill).

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) results with a minimum required score of 6.5, with minimum recommended sub-score of 6.0 in each skill.

CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced aka Certificate of Advanced English) or CPE (Cambridge English: Proficiency aka Certificate of Proficiency in English) results with a minimum required level of C1 and a minimum recommended score of 170 on any given language skill test.

C1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR).
