Earn your B.S.N. by completing the required 41 prerequisites along with your general studies courses. Once completed, you will transition smoothly into the bachelor's program.

NSU is well known for its health care colleges and programs. Here, you will learn from expert faculty with years of experience working in health care settings. They know your name and provide you with individual attention. Human anatomy, chemistry, and microbiology are foundational courses in the Entry B.S. in Nursing program. These courses, in addition to others in math, writing and the humanities, provide you with a well-rounded education that prepares you for the nursing school’s B.S.N. program.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must complete Secondary School/Post-Secondary.

For international students

Students are required to complete high school education equivalent to US High School qualification. Proof of English language proficiency with a passing score on one of the following:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 213 on the computer-based test; 550 on the paper-based test; or 79 on the Internet-based test
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS*): 6.0 or higher on the test module
  • Pearson Test of English-Academic (PTE Academic): Overall score of 54 or higher
  • iTep Academic (International Test of English Proficiency): Overall score of 3.9 or higher
  • Passing Level 9 from TALK International
  • Completion and passing of ELS Level 112 Intensive Program English for Academic Purposes
  • SAT verbal scores of 520 or above, or ACT English score of 20

The deadline to complete and submit the NursingCAS and supplemental NSU applications for fall admission is August 1st and December 1st for winter admission.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
