What will I learn?

This 24-credit performer’s certificate is designed for the instrumentalist who is admitted by audition to our Leonard Sorkin International Institute of Chamber Music (ICM). The major focus is to provide professional training experiences in the performance of chamber repertoire, from traditional to contemporary works composed for duos to larger ensembles. This unique program includes a combination of weekly masterclasses, coachings, and private lessons as well as financial and facility support. Students enjoy a dedicated rehearsal and office spaces, professional mentorship, and contest travel finances in addition to generous fellowships.

This certificate is designed for the instrumentalist who is admitted by audition to the Institute of Chamber Music at UW-Milwaukee. The major focus of the Institute of Chamber Music is to provide professional training experiences in the performance of chamber repertoire through well-matched chamber ensembles from duos through large chamber ensembles.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree and have a minimum 2.75 cumulative undergraduate grade point average to be admitted in to a certificate program.

For international students

Applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree and have a minimum 2.75 cumulative undergraduate grade point average to be admitted in to a certificate program.

English proficiency requirement: TOEFL IBT - 79 – 120; IELTS - 6.5 - 9.0; Cambridge English Advanced/Cambridge English Proficiency - C1 level or higher.
