What will I learn?

On campus living is currently optional, but quarantine seems to have made this year’s freshman class less ready for off campus living. We want to make sure that they have a support system in place, which they will have in the dorms.

The graduate certificate in Artificial Intelligence is a four-course (12 credit hours) program. It provides skills and training necessary to start and/or advance in the growing areas of AI, with a range of electives to focus more specifically in one’s desired direction of study. All students must take two required courses and two electives, subject to the graduate school regulations.

A minimum of three courses must be taken from UMSL. A maximum of two courses can be used from the 4000?level. Courses may be substituted with the permission of the certificate coordinator.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Grade Point Average: Minimum of 3.25 on 4.0 scale.

For international students

By the time of enrollment, prospective students must have obtained a baccalaureate degree or the equivalent from an accredited college or university.

A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required to be considered for regular admission.

Proof of English proficiency

Minimum requirements vary by department. It is recommended that students have a 79 TOEFL, 6.5 IELTS, or 53 PTE-A.
