In this exclusively online program by the Department of Journalism, you will study advanced media technology and digital storytelling techniques for visual reporting.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

An applicant with a baccalaureate degree not considered the equivalent of that of Ball State University may be considered for probationary admission to a master’s program. An undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale on credit hours earned from the degree granting institution.

For international students

Students must have

  • Bachelor’s degree from an institution that is accredited by its regional accrediting association;
  • Either a cumulative baccalaureate grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the latter half of your baccalaureate.

  • IELTS 6.5 bands
  • Pearson's PTE 53
