Entry requirements

For international students

Certificate applicants should have an academic or work background in optics, physics, or engineering. F-1 student visas cannot be issued for graduate certficate programs. International applicants have the option of being an online student or can attend on-campus if in possession of another visa type that allows study (e.g. H-1B).

Admissions Requirements:

  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • English Proficiency test scores for international students (see below for details)
  • Minimum 1 letter of recommendation
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Updated CV
  • Unofficial transcripts can be submitted with admission application, with official transcripts required upon admission.
