Graduate Certificate in Talent Management

USA

What will I learn?

On campus living is currently optional, but quarantine seems to have made this year’s freshman class less ready for off campus living. We want to make sure that they have a support system in place, which they will have in the dorms.

The Graduate Certificate in Talent Management is a 12-credit-hour program that can be completed in as little as two semesters (taking 6 credit hours per semester) or up to four semesters (taking 3 credit hours per semester). It’s designed for professionals currently working in Human Resources or those who plan to take on an HR role. Those interested in enhancing their HR competencies to meet current workplace challenges will find the program prepares them well to advance in their careers.

Throughout the program, students will develop a strong understanding of successful strategies for recruiting, selecting and retaining employees, and will examine topics such as performance appraisal, training, development, compensation, legal issues and labor relations. They will learn to use the knowledge they attain to function more effectively as a manager and as an employee. Having developed a deeper appreciation of the complexity of human resources management issues in contemporary organizations, those who complete this program will be well positioned to advance into a talent management or similar leadership role.
