What will I learn?

Students who successfully complete an INTO Mason Graduate Pathway or Graduate Bridge Program in Sport and Recreation Studies are assured progression to a Mason graduate degree program upon submission of additional required application materials.

Upon successful completion of an INTO Mason Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your next semester of graduate study at George Mason University. This transition from an INTO Mason Pathway program to a university degree program is called 'progression'.

Bridge Program: Students with select three-year undergraduate degrees can begin earning credits toward a master's degree while completing core undergraduate requirements.

Age requirements: 17 years and above. Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent, 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent.

For international students

Age requirements: 17 years and above

1-Semester

English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 85 (20+ subscores in reading and writing), IELTS 6.5 (6.5 subscores in reading and writing), PTEA 58, Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 6, IELA 176 (176 subscores in reading and writing), or Duolingo 120 (IELA required upon arrival).

Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent.

2-Semester

English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 75 (17+ subscores in reading and listening), IELTS 6.5 (6.0+ subscores in reading and listening), PTEA 52, Password 7.0 Knowledge and 6.0 Writing, Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 5, IELA 176 (169 subscores reading and listening), or Duolingo 55 (before 7/15/19) or 100 (as of 7/15/19) (IELA required upon arrival).
