What will I learn?

This program combines the study of law and accountancy to better prepare lawyers to practice successfully in an increasingly dynamic, interdisciplinary and global marketplace.In addition to professional legal training in the College of Law, you will take courses in the College of Business and Economics Master of Accountancy program. This program is one of the few accounting master’s degree programs in the world accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. The program is designed to allow students to earn a J.D. and the Master of Accountancy (M. Acct.) in as few as six semesters.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale is required from secondary school. They must meet criteria for admission to university level study in home country.

The following are acceptable as proof of English competency for graduate students:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): minimum overall score of 79

IELTS (International English Language Testing System): minimum overall score of 6.5

MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): Minimum overall score of 77

U of I American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) with score of a Level 6/Advanced Pass
