What will I learn?

The MIA curriculum develops international affairs professionals who understand complex transnational issues and can manage real-world organizations; The MIA core includes courses on international issues and requires students to demonstrate proficiency in a language other than English. It also requires an internship, usually performed during the summer after the first year of course work, and a Capstone workshop to provide hands-on experience in real-life assignments for diverse organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
