What will I learn?

The objective of the undergraduate and graduate composition degree programs at Baylor University are to assist young composers develop/find their style/voice and compose out of educated intentionality. Composition students at Baylor are trained to be versatile composers and musicians. The curriculum is structured to include a high level of performance on an instrument or multiple instruments, conducting experience, electronic music, improvisation, orchestration, and other composition, theory and history courses.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants have either a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or proof of equivalent training at a foreign institution of higher learning.

English language Requirements: International students should have TOEFL with minimum scores of 550 on the paper-based, 213 on the computer based, 80 on the Internet based; IELTS with minimum scores of 6.5.

Application Deadline: Fall (financial aid priority) - February 1st, Spring - October 15th.
